The Lochaber area is a mecca for biking enthusiasts  and Bluebell Cottage is right on the Sustrans Cycle Network too, so if you have a passion for biking then look no further.

The Jacobite steam train is one of the area's most popular attractions and is just a short drive from Bluebell Cottage Glencoe.

The Holly Tree Hotel & Swimming Pool has a fantastic restaurant overlooking Loch Linnhe were you can enjoy delicious food & drink like these hand-dived Scallops.

Enjoy the freshest seafood, meats and game served by their friendly waiting team to your table overlooking the loch.  

Crafts & Things is a popular cafe and shop in Glencoe village.

CRAFTS & THINGS

A huge favourite in the area serving delicious snacks and lunches along with their mouthwatering home baking. Their shop is full of interesting bits and bobs too.
Quarriers Cafe in Ballachulish offers freshly cooked fish & chips, pizzas and more for great quality takeaways.

For those nights where you’ve had a busy day and just need fish & chips or freshly baked pizza, then the Quarriers Chippy in Ballachulish is a great choice.

Steaks are a speciality at The Old Inn at Appin, one of the restaurants we recommend.

Explore Oban, the gatweay to the Hebrides and hop on a ferry to the Isle of Mull when you come to stay.

OBAN & MULL

Just 40 minute’s drive from Oban, the gateway to the Western Isles and the Seafood Capital of Scotland it’s a bustling harbour town and the ferry port to all the islands. Trips to the Isle of Mull and Iona are popular.

ISLE OF SKYE

A must visit when you’re in the area. With the iconic Eilean Donan Castle enroute and the world famous Cuillin mountains, Portee, Dunvegan Castle, The Quiraing, Trotternish Ridge and Armadale Castle to mention just a few highlights!
Loch Ness is a great day trip where you can explore the ruins of Urquhart Castle or hunt for nessie!

Loch Ness, one of Scotland’s most visited places is just an hours’ drive from Bluebell Cottage. A drive along its banks is a breathtaking journey with its wide expanse of water and the chance of spotting Nessie.
