Water Sports
We’re located just a stones throw from Loch Linnhe and Loch Leven (in fact you can see the water from the upstairs bedroom window) and there is much fun to be had on the water including kayaking, RIB Fast Boat Rides, Paddle Boarding, Fishing and so much more!

Mountain Biking
The Lochaber area is a mecca for biking enthusiasts and Fort William is the home of the Mountain Biking World Cup! Bluebell Cottage is right on the Sustrans Cycle Network too, so if you have a passion for biking then look no further.

The Holly Tree Hotel & Seafood Restaurant
Enjoy the freshest seafood, meats and game freshly prepared for you and served at your table overlooking the loch. Special discount vouchers are available please let us know if you’d like to dine there.

Crafts & Things
A huge favourite in the area serving delicious snacks and lunches along with their mouthwatering home baking. Their shop is full of interesting bits and bobs too.

The Quarriers Kitchen Fish & Chip Shop
For those nights where you just need fish & chips, then the newly opened Quarriers Chippy in Ballachulish is a great choice.

The Isle of Skye
Jump in the car and take a day trip to the Isle of Skye – a must visit when you’re in the area. With the iconic Eilean Donan Castle enroute and the world famous Cuillin mountains, Portee, Dunvegan Castle, The Quiraing, Trotternish Ridge and Armadale Castle to mention just a few highlights!

Oban & the Western Isles
Just 40 minute’s drive from Oban, the gateway to the Western Isles and the Seafood Capital of Scotland it’s a bustling harbour town and the ferry port to all the islands. Trips to the Isle of Mull and Iona are popular.

Fort William is the main town in the area and great for stocking up on groceries or for browsing through the shops on the High Street. It is also home to the UK’s highest mountain – Ben Nevis and Nevis Range for winter sport enthusiasts.

Loch Ness
Loch Ness, one of Scotland’s most visited places is just an hours’ drive from Bluebell Cottage. A drive along its banks is a breathtaking journey with its wide expanse of water and the chance of spotting Nessie.
